BIOGRAPHY

Created in 2001, the Quartet Gerió is defined as a versatile group. Its programming covers both the classic and contemporary repertoire, as it fuses with the most modern styles of our country.

All its members have a strong connection in the musical world of the city of Gerona, both in the field of musical pedagogy, and by being part of the Girona Orchestra. The Quartet Gerió has participated in the Girona Jazz Festival in 2002 and 2003, honoring the Argentine composer Astor Piazzola.

He has also participated in numerous festivals throughout Catalonia and during the “Girona entre Alghero” week organized by the Girona Provincial Council in 2005, he was able to perform with musicians from Alghero and with Gerard Quintana, with whom they has worked on different occasions.

During 2009 he presented two record works. On Saint George’s Day he presented an album dedicated to the current composers of Gerona and El Clásico Salt, together with the CobosMika Dance Company, the second album dedicated to the music of the Argentinean Astor Piazzolla.
